A long weekend is coming up in Squamish and it’s looking to be a lovely one as we enjoy warmer weather, sunnier days, time with family and friends, and Easter goodies. It’s shaping up to be busy with lots of community events and special restaurant menus, so we thought we’d drop this quick guide to Easter weekend 2025 so you can get planning. Be sure to check back often as we add new events and announcements as they are released.

Sea to Sky Gondola

Experience a memorable Easter Sunday at the Sea to Sky Gondola with family and friends on Sunday April 20th. Start with an Easter egg gathering on the Spirit Trail. The Easter Bunny has hidden chocolate treasures around the Summit Lodge and Plaza—and they need your help to find them! With friendly staff to guide the way, little explorers can collect treats at themed stations and enjoy the adventure. On from 10AM until 12PM.

Follow up your egg collecting adventures with a​ delicious Easter Brunch.

Britannia Mine Museum

Join the Britannia Mine Museum from April 18th to 21st for a family-friendly Easter Egg-Venture! Head underground on a special seasonal tour where mining meets festive fun. Learn how every day at the Britannia Mine used to be like a giant Easter Egg Hunt! Just like miners once searched for valuable ore, you’ll hunt for hidden golden eggs—then trade them in for a piece of golden chalcopyrite (Fool's Gold).

Don’t miss BOOM!, an exciting live-action show that brings Britannia’s mining history to life with stunning sights and sounds. This fun-filled Easter event is included with museum admission.

Airhouse Squamish

Join the team at Airhouse Squamish for an Easter egg hunt on Sunday April 20th for kids 1.5 to 4 yrs old.

Easter Hunt at The Park

Head down to Stan Clarke Park in downtown Squamish on Saturday April 19th for a fun Easter hunt. In addition to the Egg Hunt, there will be face painting, games, crafts and.... real live bunny rabbits! Starts at 10:30AM and goes until 1PM.

U-Pick Tulip Festival

Head over to Bloom and Breeze Farm for their 1st ever U-Pick Tulip Festival! With over 20,000 blooms planted, they are excited to welcome guests to their unique and magical spring experience. Stroll the feild, take those oh-so-lovely Instagram pics, and select your blooms from an array of stunning colours. Limited tickets are available and you must book in advance. Begins April 18th, 2025- schedule your spot here. 

 

Easter Treats

If you didn't catch the Easter Bunny or there aren't enough eggs in your basket, head to one of our downtown cafés as they roll out an eggs-cellent selection of goodies that will get your nose twitching.

The popular brioche doughnuts at Fox & Oak take on an Easter twist that will have everyone lining up to snag theirs. This year's treats to be released soon.

Hippity-Hop your way into Sunflower Bakery in Downtown Squamish to check out their selection of Easter themed goodies like donuts, hot crossed buns (*new flavour with custard this year!) and more options to fill your basket.

Each year Tall Tree releases a special festive Easter themed treat... we wonder what they have in store for us this year!

You can't go wrong with an ice cream treat on a special holiday weekend. Find out their flavours of the day (mini-eggs, anyone?) and enjoy each lick of this delicious real fruit ice cream.

Brunch

Easter Sunday is a wonderful day to get out and enjoy a beautiful brunch with family and friends. Here’s our list of top brunch spots – be sure to get there early as it will be very busy this day!

 

The Crabapple Café 

From breakfast bowls to decadent bennies, french toast for the gods and stacks of pancakes, this is definitely a top spot for brunch. Yum!

Fergie’s Café 

Dive into their divine brioche french toast, fan favourite bennies and famous BBQ asado hash... this spot has a stellar reputation and it's not hard to see why.

Freebird Table & Oyster Bar

Featuring delish options like chorizo hash, brisket benny, smoked salmon bagel and more, there's something for everyone to enjoy. If it's sunny be sure to snag a spot on their large and scenic patio,

Lil Chef Bistro

A local favourite, you'll love their homemade English Muffins topped with a selection of house-made meats and toppings.

Match Eatery & Public House

With a delightful patio featuring stunning close-up views of the Stawamus Chief, you can saddle up to one of their firepit tables and dig into tasty brunch items like pulled pork or blackened shrimp bennies, chicken and waffles or huevos tacos.

Open Friday through Sunday at 11:30AM to serve up traditional Easter brunch & lunch. Be sure to call ahead and make a reservation!

Afternoon Activities

Fingers and buns crossed that Easter Sunday will be bright, sunny and warm! Here are a few suggestions for a nice way to spend an afternoon. Even if it does rain, just don your Easter bonnet (or a raincoat) and make the best of it. Better yet, if you're downtown you can borrow a bright yellow umbrella from our Squamish Umbrella Program to keep yourself dry.

Go Beachcombing

Head down to Porteau Cove Provincial Park or Sp’akw’us Feather Park and enjoy a calming walk on the beach.  Take a closer look for pretty shells, driftwood, rocks, starfish and more. Keep an eye out for whales in Howe Sound!

Look for Birds in the Estuary

Spring has sprung and it’s a wonderful time to search for an array of bird life in Squamish. The Squamish Estuary, which is a designated Wildlife Management Area, is the perfect spot to birdwatch and breath in some fresh air. Who knows, you might even spot a bunny or two.

Go on a Hike

There's no better way to work off all that chocolate than to head into Squamish's lush green forests for ramble around. You can find plenty of family friendly options for trails here.
